As a testimony of our research capabilities, we were awarded the 国家级火炬计划项目证书 (State Torch Programme) award under the 国家级火炬项目 (State Torch Programme) by 科学技术部火炬高技术产业开发中心 (The Torch High Technology Industry Development Centre of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC) in July 2002 for our technological capabilities in the production of Mezlocillin Sodium (美洛西林钠).
In May 2004, we were awarded the 重点高新技术企业证书 (State-Focused High-Advanced Technology Enterprise) award under the 国家级火炬项目 (State Torch Programme) by 科学技术部火炬高技术产业开发中心 (The Torch High Technology Industry Development Centre of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC).
We were also awarded the 高新技术企业证书 (High and New Technology Enterprise Award) in March 2003 by the 山东省科学技术厅 (Shandong Provincial Bureau for Science and Technology).
To qualify as a 高新技术企业 (High and New Technology Enterprise), a company must satisfy the
following criteria at the time the award is given:
- engage in the R&D and production of one or more
types of high-advanced technology such as bio-technology;
- is a legal entity;
- has more than 30% of
its total employees and staff with the required qualifications and 10% of its total employees engaging in
R&D. For entities whose main business is in production and provision of technical services, at least 20%
of its total employees must have relevant qualifications;
- have expenditure on R&D of new products
constituting at least 5% of its annual total sales revenue;
- have technological and sales revenue
constituting at least 60% of its total annual revenue; and
- have a person-in-charge who is familiar with
the research, development, production and sale of the products of the company, and who focuses on
technological creativity.
In December 2003, we were accredited by the State Personnel Ministry of the PRC as a designated organisation of the 博士后科研工作站 (Postdoctoral Programme). The objective of the 博士后科研工作站 (Postdoctoral Programme) is to supplement and facilitate the R&D studies of doctoral level in the universities in the PRC. In order for an organisation to qualify as a designated organisation of the Postdoctoral Programme, it must be an enterprise which has been awarded the 高新技术企业证书(High and New Technology Enterprise Award), have well-developed R&D facilities, an established R&D team as well as ongoing R&D projects with good commercialisation prospects.
In November 2004, we were accredited by the 山东省科学技术厅 (Department of Science and Technology
of Shandong Province, PRC) as a provincial technological research centre for cephalosporin active
ingredients. Under this approval, there are a total of 14 research centres set up in different provinces
each undertaking the research and development of a specialised field.
